Corus Nepal Program Director Speaks with CNN About Disaster Response

In the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides in Nepal, Corus International Nepal Program Director Narayan Gyawali spoke with CNN about the challenges facing affected communities and the humanitarian response. 

Drawing on his team's experience in affected areas, Narayan describes the complexity of reaching communities where roads and infrastructure have been damaged and where basic needs — including shelter, clean water and food — remain significant. He also shares how Corus is working alongside local communities, partners and government authorities to assess needs and provide support. 

Corus has mobilized emergency assistance, including shelter materials and safe water supplies, while exploring additional ways to support affected communities, including community kitchens.
