Education is one of the strongest pathways out of poverty, yet millions of people access to the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
The reality
- 16% of children globally are out of school
- Poverty could be cut in half if all adults completed secondary school
- About 1 in 5 adults globally have no formal education
- For every additional year a girl can stay in school, her chances of getting pregnant drop by 6% — and her earning potential as an adult soars by 20%
