NEPAL FLOOD DISASTER: Corus rushes to respond

The massive flash flood in Nepal has shocked the world.
On August 26, a nearly 100-foot wave of debris and water — caused by a collapsed glacier and landslide — crashed across the northern border of Nepal and left a wake of destruction.
As search and rescue continue, the extent of the loss and damage is still unknown.
We do know that at least 10,000 households have been displaced by this disaster and need urgent support.
How Corus is responding in Nepal
Thanks to our compassionate supporters, who ensure we are ready to act quickly whenever disaster strikes, Corus reacted immediately.
Our Humanitarian Action team — along with our local staff in Nepal — are working day and night to coordinate with the local government and our trusted partners to ensure aid reaches those who need it most. A particular focus is on families who have been cut off from critical resources due to flooding.
As the response comes together, the most urgent needs include:

- Safe drinking water
- Food assistance
- Sanitation and hygiene support
- Emergency supplies
- First aid and medical care
