While some perceive the valley as notorious for illicit activities, beneath this notion, a thriving cocoa industry is shaping the region into a center for premium chocolates, exemplified by the renowned brand Tsinane. This locally produced chocolate recently earned accolades with a medal at the 2023 Salon Du Chocolat in Paris. With support from LWR, the credit for this sweet evolution is attributed to the Qori Warmi, a women-led cooperative that not only fosters resilience but also empowers women, transforms lives, and revitalizes communities.
