Corus appoints Frances Woodard to top human resources post
WASHINGTON, D.C., August 29, 2022 – Corus International announced Frances Woodard, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is joining the international nonprofit as its Chief People & Culture Officer, effective today.
Woodard brings more than 20 years’ experience in strategic human resources, talent management and organizational effectiveness.
Woodard most recently served as Vice President, People & Culture at National Quality Forum, a not-for-profit, membership organization dedicated to improving health care. She previously directed human resources at the Walton Family Foundation, Human Rights First and the ONE Campaign.
“We searched extensively for an HR executive of Frances’ caliber and are delighted she will be leading the Corus family’s change management and culture as we live into modeling the INGO of the future,” Daniel Speckhard, president & CEO of Corus, said. “Frances will play a key role in magnifying the impact of our people and their work environment around the world.”
Corus International unites an array of nonprofits and for-profits, including Lutheran World Relief, IMA World Health, CGA Technologies and Ground Up Investing. It employs more than 500 people around the world.

Woodard earned an M.S. in Management with a specialization in Human Resources at University of Maryland College Park and a B.S. in Business & Management at University of Maryland College Park. Her credentials include Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
