Amy Coughenour Betancourt

Amy Coughenour Betancourt is CEO of Cadasta Foundation, where she leads efforts to use geospatial technology and community-led data to strengthen land and resource rights worldwide. A global speaker and writer, Amy is an expert in using geospatial technology and local data solutions to address development challenges and support resilient communities.
Before joining Cadasta in 2018, Amy served as Chief Operating Officer of International Programs at NCBA CLUSA, Deputy Executive Director of the Pan American Development Foundation, and Deputy Director and Adjunct Fellow of the Americas Program at Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Amy holds an M.A. in International Policy Studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a B.A. in German from Central College. She serves on the boards of How Women Lead Washington Capital Area and Manna Food Center, and previously served on the board of InterAction.
