In School is for people like you, who believe all girls should be able to go to school.

We use purpose-built technology to monitor school attendance, identify out-of-school girls, and provide monthly cash transfers, so girls can afford an education. 

And we address non-financial barriers to school attendance by connecting girls and their families with services and support so they can better care for themselves.

There are approximately 122 million girls who are not in school around the world. Poverty is by far the largest barrier to education.

Where We Work

We work in Sierra Leone, a country where nearly half of women have never attended school. Of the girls who make it to school, nearly 30% drop out by age 12. They are often forced into early marriage, child labor or worse.
