PROTECT HER TOGETHER: Strengthening Communities, Saving Lives

The ongoing war in Ukraine has created a humanitarian emergency marked by widespread displacement, severe gaps in health services and a sharp rise in conflict-related sexual and domestic violence. Health facilities face staffing shortages, disrupted operations and increased demand. Vulnerable populations—including internally displaced persons (IDPs), survivors of trauma and those at risk of violence—often lack access to life-saving medical care and safe spaces.

Corus International, in partnership with the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health (UFPH), League of Modern Women (LoMW), Chernihiv Public Committee for Human Rights Protection (CPC HRP) and Infection Control in Ukraine (ICU), will implement a 12-month integrated project to address these urgent needs. The initiative combines Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS), a fully equipped Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), targeted training for health and protection workers and community-wide awareness campaigns.
